The SSD seemed to help a lot, but lately it's been giving me the spinning beachball every blink of an eye, and, most egregiously, the spinning ball even stops spinning completely sometimes for about 45 seconds and then the computer comes back to life.
This is a Toshiba SSD that I installed in my iMac (late 2012) about a year ago due to what was thought to be a disk problem. Write has been ranging from a high around 300 MB/s to a low of 7 (seven!) MB/s, and Read has ranged from 480 down to 30 MB/s. Both my write and read speeds are wildly fluctuating on each run. So if he has a problem, I have to assume that I have a "REAL" problem.
